Museum is an urban area located in the Civic District in Central Singapore. The district plays a bridging role between two common areas in Central Singapore namely Downtown Core and Orchard Street.
Since its inception, the Museum Planning Area has been on the forefront in promoting tourism. This can be attributed to the fact that it has a record of ten historical monuments which richly detail Singapore’s history.

Created in 1822, Fort Canning is the best park for those who love arts and music. This can be attributed to the fact that a majority of shows and cultural activities are held in this small park. For instance, the largest Singapore music festival has been held in this park since 1998.
Istana Park is also a common event space that hosts musical and cultural festivities. In addition, Istana Park boasts a large, shallow reflecting pool. Istana Park is rich in coconut palms located at the adjourning Palm pools which create a spectacular ambience.
Bras Basah Park is common in recreational activities such as bird watching. You can also view a number of monuments such as the National Museum of Singapore, the Armenian Church as well as the Central Fire Station from this park.
The Museum Planning Area is served by two MRT stations; Dhoby Ghaut and Bras Basah. The North-South Line and the North East Line are accessible from Dhoby Ghaut while the Circle Line can be accessible from both.
