Ngee Ann City

Ngee Ann City is a premier shopping and commercial centre which can be found on Orchard Road in Singapore.

This remarkable venue was opened in 1993 at a cost of S$520 million. Also known by many Singaporeans as “Taka”, this incredible shopping destination has become a favourite amongst locals and travellers alike.

Originally a burial ground, the grounds of Ngee Ann City were first built upon when the ten-story ‘Ngee Ann Building’ was placed here. When Ngee Ann City was planned and developed, the Ngee Ann Building was demolished and the current property stands in its place. It took 22 years for the vision of Ngee Ann City to become fulfilled.

The two towers of Ngee Ann City each stand 26 stories high and house a variety of retailers. Over the years Ngee Ann City has focused on providing and developing a continually relevant shopping experience for visitors. An additional feature of Ngee Ann City is Civic Plaza which houses concerts and provides an excellent performance venue space.

Come to Ngee Ann City for the biggest variety of name brand stores including Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Christian Dior, Montblanc, L’OCCITANE, Cartier and Christian Louboutin. For those looking to spend a little less, you will also find Guess, Crabtree & Evelyn, Skechers, Zara and Mango.

On-site parking is available, however, the MRT is the most convenient transport option and visitors should alight at Orchard MRT or Somerset MRT Stations.
