Singapore Discovery Centre

The Singapore Discovery Centre is an all-in-one ‘edu-tainment’ hub that is designed to educate and entertain visitors to Singapore.

The Singapore Discovery Centre has been branded as both an art gallery and a science exhibit museum. Located on Upper Jurong Road, the centre is also very accessible to the public as it is only a 10-minute walk away from Joon Koon MRT Station.

The Singapore Discovery Centre offers various tour packages. The cheapest tour costs around $10 which covers admission, a tour around the Singapore Military Institute and a ticket to a 3D short film. Visitors may also opt to include the Army Museum in the tour as it is close by. Although you can enjoy the Discovery Centre solo, many of the interactive attractions are designed for groups. Therefore, taking a guided tour may make your visit more interesting.

Some of the educational activities at the Singapore Discovery Centre include the ‘Singlish’ test, a ‘So Singapore’ video which showcases the unique traits that make up a typical Singaporean and the various picture and sound quizzes that seek to test just how much you know about the city.

There is also a large movie theatre inside the centre which seats over 300 visitors and features 2D and 3D movies. There is also a 4D simulator ride, crossfire paintball and a shooting gallery. Make sure you also head to the Dream Lab to learn more about Singapore’s present and future plans through photos and interviews.

The Discovery Centre offers free parking for patrons.
