Shimano Cycling World, Opening Hours, Kallang Sports Hub, Singapore
The museum is owned and operated by Shimano Inc., a Japanese company involved in the research, development, and manufacture of high-quality bicycle equipment.
It opened in 2015 and features an exciting array of pull-out bicycle exhibits; including unusual and historic bikes that you won’t find anywhere else. The museum also has an area dedicated to innovations in cycling, and a spacious library housing an impressive collection of cycling books covering a variety of topics such as bike maintenance and cyclist biographies.
Visitors are encouraged to see what it’s like to have a custom-made bike made at the museum. If you have an old bicycle at home that needs some fixing, check out their free Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop held on the last weekend each month.
They also offer exciting bike activities such as a monthly Bike Cruise and guided tours. Just let them know at least three days ahead of time if you intend to arrange a tour. Customised tours are entertained by the museum too.
Whether you’re an avid cyclist or would like to learn more about cycling culture, you’ll find something of interest at the museum.
Shimano Cycling World is located at 6 Stadium Walk within the Singapore Sports Hub.
