Guided tours are available every Monday and Thursday at 10am and 2pm. Interested visitors are required to make advanced bookings. The tour takes you through the building where you will learn about its history and how it has helped shape the local arts community. You will be treated to an entertaining and educational programme filled with interesting information on how design has changed throughout the years while contributing to Singapore’s economy.
There are over 200 displays of fashion, product and industrial design, visual communications, and environmental design to browse through. The tour also includes a walk-through at the exhibitions in Level 1 and concludes with a hands-on activity that encourages you to express yourself through creative art. The centre’s facilities include a cafe, fashion and accessory boutiques, and gallery spaces.
Art and design enthusiasts can spend hours poring through the many learning materials and design exhibitions. Depending on the day of your visit, you may stumble upon an ongoing seminar or an exciting exhibition that are worthy of checking out.
