Every month, Hort Park partners with industry members and gardening groups to organise gardening activities for the public. School groups often also attend so that information about gardening and information about best practice in gardening an be handed down to children. Recycling is also very important at Hort Park, as the mantra “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” is repeatedly used throughout the park.
Other people simply come to Hort Park to relax or take a stroll through the many nature walks located here. Many people come here to eat their lunch or enjoy a picnic with friends.
