Coney Island Park is one of Singapore’s prime nature attractions and is an idyllic destination for nature lovers. The park covers 50 hectares and is home to diverse habitats that make it a truly enchanting location.
The habitats, which range from mangrove forests to casuarina woodlands, coastal forests and grasslands that are home to an array of flora and fauna.

Coney Island Park is a great location for bird-watching too. With more than 80 bird species in the park, there is no shortage of activities to enjoy in the expansive park. One of the most popular bird species is the Baya Weavers which are known for weaving spectacular nests on the Acacia trees that dot the park.
You will also have the chance to listen to the distinct songs of the Oriental Magpie-robins as they fly amongst the trees. The best thing about bird-watching in the park is that there are diverse bird species, all of which have found a home in Coney Island Park.
Another great aspect of the park is that it seeks to be an environmentally sustainable entity, thanks to its numerous initiatives. These include projects to conserve energy, reduce water wastage as well as recycling. In fact, the park’s signage and benches were made from the Casuarina trees found in the park.
Stroll on the boardwalk and explore the mangrove forests, or proceed to the beach for a swim. Cycling is permitted in the park, so you can bring your own bikes or rent a bicycle from Punggol Point Park. Coney Island Park is open daily between 7am to 7pm.
