Chestnut Nature Park is a recently-opened oasis of green in Singapore. This massive park, spanning 81 hectares of land, is now Singapore’s largest park.
It was only unveiled to the public on February 2017, but it’s now a top destination for visitors in the area who need a quick break from the bustle of the city.

Several native tree species have been planted throughout the park as part of ongoing biodiversity conservation efforts. These include the Braided Chestnut, Jelutong, and the Singapore Walking-Stick Palm. Over time, the growth of these trees will serve as a home to animals as they continue to improve the ecosystems in Singapore’s green spaces.
Chestnut Nature Park also serves as a shared community space for all ages. Some of the fun outdoor activities here include mountain biking, running, hiking, and bird watching. It’s also the first park in the country with a separate hiking and mountain biking trail.
The park’s amenities include information boards, mountain bike rentals, water fountain, pavilions and shelters, toilets, and a kiosk selling packaged snacks and refreshments.
Opening hours are 7am to 7pm daily. Take note that due to a limited car park, the best way to get to the park is to take the bus and alight at Block 202 Petir Road, which is just a short 2 kilometre walk away. For your safety, avoid visiting the park during inclement weather.
