The 3,000-seat venue is home to the Singapore Swimming Association and has hosted the 5th FINA World Juniors Swimming Championships and the 28th South East Asian Games in 2015.
Whether you’re an aquatic athlete or an occasional swimmer, the lap swimming facilities here will give you a great workout. It features an 8-lane 50-meter training pool, a 10-lane 25 or 50-meter competition pool, and a 5-meter deep dive pool; ideal for just about any swimmer. Take note that the lanes have been labelled to ease traffic: open swim, slow, slow/medium, medium/fast, and fast. Patrons may also enrol in any of their aquafit classes or swimming lessons; with one available for every skill level and interest.
Patrons will be asked to bring a valid photo ID to use the facilities, and then pay a small fee to the Information Counter. The entrance fee includes the use of a locker, which comes in handy since you aren’t allowed to bring you bag to the poolside.
If you intend to use the facilities several times throughout your stay in Singapore, you can save more money with the swim pass. The competition pool is open on select days, while lap swimming hours in the training pool are open from 7am to 10pm.
The OCBC Aquatic Centre is located at 7 Stadium Drive in Singapore.
